Fischer’s Pan

Fischer's Pan near Namutoni Restcamp during the dry season in Etosha National Park

Although not a waterhole, this pan is named after Lieutenant Adolf Fischer who was stationed at Namutoni during the 1880’s.

About: This is the best spot for spotting large flocks of flamingo during wet years when the pan is full. A road runs very close to the northern edge of the pan, allowing for excellent game viewing opportunities.

Water Source: Pan
