“Stinkwater” is an Afrikaans name that means “stink water”. Stinkwater does indeed have stinking water, due to its high sulphur content.

About: Stinkwater is located on the edge of the pan alongside the road making it an excellent location for close up game spotting.

Elephant and warthog often take their mud baths in the seeps and plains game, especially gemsbok, is often seen grazing on the grasses at the edge of the pan.
